Secondary Transfer

Your child will transfer to secondary education at eleven, at the end of year 6. Information is provided by Gloucestershire County Council and will be sent home within the first week of your child being in Y6. The local secondary schools to North Cerney are

  •       Cirencester Deer Park School
  •       Cirencester Kingshill School
  •       Farmor’s School, Fairford

You will be issued with a unique pin number and requested to register your choice of secondary school for your child on line or by post.

This link will also give you access to any information and guidance booklets should you require it.

Should you wish to look at our local Grammar Schools we are fortunate to have some within an acceptable distance from the school. They are:

  •       Pate’s Grammar School, Cheltenham
  •       Stroud High School for Girls, Stroud,
  •       Marling School. Stroud
  •       Sir Thomas Rich’s, Gloucester
  •       High School for Girls, Gloucester

A separate booklet about transfer at eleven gives more information about the procedure. This is available from Gloucestershire County Council and is issued from school for parents of Year 6 children.
